Fighting bureaucracy with AI – quick and affordable sustainability report
As a Düsseldorfer, fashion accompanied me in the schoolyard, as a model and at work. Early on, sustainability was important to me for purely selfish reasons – because I don’t want to wear harmful chemicals on my skin and I want to be paid fairly for my work. So I recognize the benefits of bureaucracy when it comes to sustainability. But as a management consultant, I also saw how it can eat up companies’ resources. With AI, we can manage bureaucracy in an automated way. That’s why, after 10 years in management consulting, I entered the world of AI development.”

Christian Büdel (Digital Professional in Global Garment Business)

Product data exchange – challenges & chances in real life
Christian Büdel is Managing Director of PB ACCESSORIES, a family-owned company and global provider of trims for premium brands in various industries such as fashion, sportswear, and beyond. With a strong focus on digitalization, process optimization, and certification management, he drives innovation and efficiency.  With over 20 years in the apparel industry—but a background in engineering—Christian combines deep expertise with a practical perspective on the processes in the textile sector. His hands-on experience fuels his skepticism toward the outdated methods still widely used to handle the massive data flow along the textile supply chain. At the event, he will share real world examples of how PB ACCESSORIES—led by him and his brother Andreas—is tackling automated data exchange with innovative solutions that bring greater efficiency and transparency to the industry.
